After working for many years at several schools in the city, I decided to start a space of my own. I aim at being able to bridge learning gaps (among children with learning difficulties) that schools find difficult to accommodate because of their own schedules to keep.

My commitment to offer holistic education has greatly impacted my working style and has influenced me to continue to study, learn and grow. I have done a number of courses, certifications and licenses to enhance my skill set and be able to bring my best to the children I work with. Besides being a trauma informed NILD Educational Therapist, I have also learnt Feuerstein’s Instrumental Enrichment (FIE), Audiblox, Brain Gym and Play Therapy.

I am an ardent supporter and promoter of early intervention. Having been in the field of education for over a decade, I've created, implemented and mastered a wide variety of multi sensorial teaching strategies. My favourite age group to work with is children below 12 years. I believe that magic happens when children’s minds are still absorbent and a lot can be accomplished when we start early with them. I also run an 'un'school program for children with Dyslexia who are unable to keep up with the convention norms of traditional schools.

My beliefs of education having to be wholesome, nurturing and developmentally appropriate originate from the fact that I myself was sent to an unconventional school as a child. My sessions focus on accuracy and enjoying the process of learning than focusing on learning to fulfil an outcome. When a child is given the opportunity to have fun and learn concepts in new and varied ways, doing well on a test then becomes an automatic outcome.

 

I love teaching and training adults to be better equipped teachers. I conduct workshops and webinars on various topics related to education and approaches that are nurturing and wholesome. A typical day of mine involves working with children in the “un”school during the first half and therapy sessions children (who go to traditional schools) with learning difficulties in the evenings.

I work with adults using modalities such as trauma informed psychotherapy, Coaching, Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy and inter-generational trauma work. I embody the work I do so a core component of my work is mindfulness and the practices that come with it.

​

 

Other than pursuing my career in education and psychotherapy, my deep interests also lie in the Law of Attraction, occult sciences and divinities such as Tarot, Angel Card Reading, Akashic Records, Runes and Crystals. I do readings for individuals on request.
